The hot, sweet, musky scent of a summer night doesn’t belong to LA in June. The air turns crisp after the sun goes down. The sky fills with gloom to welcome the mornings. There is no transition from spring to summer like I remember from my childhood. It makes it hard to embrace “summer”. I’ve been missing home a lot (boulder co).
I find myself reaching for what brings a sense of the “summer” feel.
Citronnelle
The sticky comforting scent of bug spray but elevated. My go to evening candle has been the Diptyque Citronnelle candle (lemongrass). A scent that takes me to a hot night in Italy fanning away the soft buzz of a mosquito (yet no mosquitos in sight for me). Leaving the room or table setting with a soft embrace of lemon. I also love the body/ room spray .
A Trip to the Farmers Market
My mom was never a huge cook but a summer afternoon was always filled with tomatoes, peaches, cottage cheese, + a drizzle of olive oil. A taste I have been loving.
My summer farmers market list~
Produce: heirloom tomatoes, white peaches, cottage cheese, and fresh sourdough bread.
Dips: tzatziki dip, labneh (thicker greek yogurt), tabbouleh (mint and so fresh- this isn’t really a dip), and cilantro hummus.
Florals: dahlias, zinnias, and sunflowers.

Polka Dots
I have been loving polka dots. I have the brown and baby blue polka dot case from wildflower on my phone right. Bought red and white polka dot tweezers from cvs last week. And thrifted the perfect orange and pink Paul Smith long sleeve with a left sleeve creme detail.
Being Barefoot:
The feeling of hot cement under your feet. The ability to throw down a shoe and slip it on handsfree.
-Loving havianas (arn’t we all)~ i have 2 pair.
-Me and a mule. just got these ones res ipsa cowhide mule .
Current Shoe Wishlist:
10 Songs on Mind~
