a trip up north, dinner parties, galleries, and food.
hi guys ~ it’s been a minute, let me fill you in on the past month. summer makes me lazy but in a way where i’m doing a ton and nothing at the same time, does that make sense?
anyways…
a weekend in northern california
my boyfriend and I celebrated our three year anniversary up north, it’s become a tradition. last year we went to big sur. this year we spent a cozy weekend on dillon beach. an hour and 20 minutes out of san fran. we stayed in the the most perfect airbnb. a beach town with 40 full time residents and 1 tiny market. an escape that might as well have been a costal town on the northern coast of england. *felt remote (there was a whole foods and target 35 mins away lol).
we read, made the perfect breakfasts, antiqued in a nearby town (petaluma), and bundled up for windy evening beach walks. my ideal weekend.
an outfit I loved from august
I was invited to a dinner with Margiela Fragrances, which, quite honestly, I couldn’t wrap my head around. me? how cool.
this meant though, a full week of figuring out what to wear. i treated myself to a new pair of shoes, they would make me feel good. give me a little nudge of the confidence that i would need.
the night was perfect. the people were interesting and actually wanted to talk. which i’ve learned in the past year is rare in la. most of these ‘influencer’ events are a copy and paste version of the same type of girl and not many guys. no shade just something i’ve noticed. this wasn’t that at all.

new gallery discovery in la
i had heard so much about seventh house never realizing it was within a couple miles of me. the furniture is on view throughout frank gehry’s danziger studio & residence, giving each room such a personal feel. a beautiful clean curation. i left inspired. adding to my top 10 design store in la.
FOOD
i love a summer meal>> petit trios duck liver paté (also their chinese chicken salad for lunch), heirloom tomatoes, berry chantilly cake from whole foods, fresh grilled burgers, farmers market strawberries, and my go to lunch from tre lune on sycamore (insalata di crescione ~ blue cheese fig etc. with a side of chicken).
